Anyway, the caramel cake was a hit yesterday, woohoooooo!!!

I would attempt making it again except making the syrup was so scary and I have so little of my previous batch left grrrr. Yesterday we FINALLY started on making our tikis for Orientation. Omg they are damn cute!! Because our House theme is Stone Age, we drew (or rather, Brenda and Louise drew) Flintstones characters and we painted them yesterday. My cake disappeared like damn fast I didn't even know k! Mass dance practice, I had to teach Joanne the dance when I didn't know it well myself -.- Hahaha. Ohwell!!

Mummy picked Calvin up today then brought us to Sakura for lunch. Woohoo!! Ate alot then me and Calvin cabbed down to Cine to watch.. TWILIGHT


After the close to year long hype and excitement over Twilight, the movie was SUCH a letdown. It was bland, with little focus on the relationship between Edward and Bella, which was almost the main storyline in all 4 books anyway. Plus, in the books I totally fell in love with Edward and I think choosing Robert Pattinson to play him was a stupid choice!!! In the posters he just looks like a demon ok, and you're supposed to show him struggling to control his "animal" side when it comes to Bella. I see the effort on his part but he just ends up looking spastic, like he can't speak properly and he has I dunno, fits or something. I read reviews before watching the movie and I can't help but agree with some of them when you end up thinking Bella is stupid for choosing to trust a freaking vampire barely what, 3 days after sorta meeting him? It's supposed to be a few weeks I guess but they hardly showed them together in the first part of the movie therefore it was damn slow..... And I normally love Kirsten Stewart, especially after her stellar performance in Panic Room but she was just unusually stiff in this one, with little personality. GRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRR.

The special effects in the show like the super strength and speed and stuff are kinda exaggerated, didn't like them much. OH I KNOW WHAT I HATED ABOUT THE SHOW. I know Forks is supposed to be rainy and like, dark all the time. But really, does the whole cast have to be so unnaturally white?! Why not pick some naturally fair people, like europeans or something! Edward is supposed to have old school manners and stuff, like a gentleman. Don't you think a European would be perfect?!?!?!?!

The only scene, and I mean ONLY scene that got my heart pumping was the very last scene where James like, trapped Bella. That was damn freaky and stupid Calvin had no reaction so I was like "EEEEEEEEEEE *grab his thigh (cuz his arm was I dunno where) then let go*" just cuz i was tense. (:

Anyway, many people blamed Catherine Hardwicke for her horrible directing of the movie, I don't know whether I agree or not but I'm still disappointed in the movie, and she was fired from the studio so New Moon won't be directed by her, hopefully it'll be better!!

Edward. Is. Ugly.
I loved Jacob so much more la!! Though I kinda hated his long hair in the movie. He was Sharkboy!!
AND Gaspard was in consideration for the role of Edward. Why didn't he get it? WHY?!?! WHY?!!!! He's European!!

And of course my favourite leading man will always be Alex Pettyfer la. Honestly, it's so obvious he should have been picked. With his CRAZY unworldly good looks like Edward is supposed to have, and his sexy cheekbones and abs and omg everythingggg. Just look at his pictures for Armani! He looks EXACTLY like a vampire ok he like, can melt glass with his gaze or something.

I think I liked the supporting cast more than the main cast. Bella's dad, Charlie, was freaking funny haha and Eric her friend was super cute la! Hahahaha. And I liked Alice, I always thought of her as a blonde but the few short moments she acted in the movie I think she acted well and cute and pixie-ish haha. Jasper was plain funny even though he didn't talk cuz his face was so tormented and retarded haha. All in all, I think the 10 bucks for the movie ticket wasn't worth it, I would have gladly paid the student price of 6 bucks just for the sake of watching it. Damn my impatience of wanting to watch Twilight so badly!!

Ok Twilight post over. After the movie, walked around Heeren with Calvin killing time before his work started. Got myself a pair of yellow shades yaaaay (: Found new slippers that I liked!! Dammit, more choices to be made. Went to Bugis to get something for Yiyi, she insisted that I had to go to Watson's in PACO building, apparently beside Bugis Junction. I think it's non-existent because I WALKED AROUND THE WHOLE OF BUGIS JUNCTION AND FOUND NO SUCH BUILDING. Then I went back into Bugis, went to the Watson's there AND FOUND WHAT SHE WANTED. GRRR!!! Home, finally. Went to eat Botak Jones. It wasn't fantastic, I wouldn't specially go there to eat. But it was ok. Then went for some foot detox thing at Aunty Muriel's shop. I'll blog about that later cuz I took pictures that are in Mummy's camera nowwww. HOME and Miss World was on Channel 5. Mcfly performed and I missed it!! ): I miss Harry.

HAPPY CHARIS?!?! I baked a caramel cake today. It was SOOOOO much work and I washed dunno how many dishes and my hands are like scrubbed raw with detergent and my nail polish is chipped ): But the cake's not bad! I made a browned butter frosting and it was realllly good except the recipe said add caramel so I added the caramel then it turned my frosting all ugly and lumpy so I cut my cake into half and sandwiched the frosting inside. It looks reallly pretty!! (: Tiki-making and mass dance prac tomorrow so it can be finished yaay. It's quite a huge cake, the amount of batter I had could easily have made 2 cakes but I was too lazy to find 2 pans and bake in 2 batches so I just dumped it in 1. Mummy came home and tried my cake and she said it was yummy! Yaaaay!! After all the hard work I put into it, it better have been yummy. I had to make my own caramel syrup ok! And the recipe said it would splatter when you pour in water while boiling so I stood far away from the stove and wore a hoodie so my arms were protected. And the caramel splattered onto the stove top and HARDENED so I had to slowly scrub until it was removed. OH and while making the frosting, I was trying to pour the melted butter through a sieve but my sieve was plastic and the butter was hot so the sieve melted grrrrr!! Oh crap I have yet to tell Mummy about it.

Yesterday was our Amazing Race, I was so tireeeeddddd. But our group came in first woohoo go Delta! We had the amazing number of like, 11 people yesterday, after an awesome attendance on Tuesday with like, 24 people or something. The sun was so hotttt and my face got sunburntttttt.... Orientation is going to be all this for 5 days straight I think I might die of exhaustion! Haha, can't wait for orientation though. Met Chenyin yesterday after dunno how long, then while at Raffles City, met Graci as well! Sarah's now complaining about the Peta game cuz it scared her at 2.37 am in the morning. But quite funny what!!! :D

Fine, I'm sorry I've been AWOL for I dunno how long hahaha. Just never had the urge to switch on my computer, go online and get sucked into the internet, though it actually shocks me because I miss SO MUCH when I don't go online, don't read blogs etcetc. Oh well. I dyed my hair today, for the first time in my entire 16 years of life, no, Mummy spreading her leftover dye on my hair does not count. I bought Red Mahogany and was really expecting a red colour. Guess I left it for too short a time CUZ THERE'S NO FREAKING DIFFERENCE AND I JUST EXPOSED MY HAIR TO THE HARMFUL EFFECTS OF DYE FOR NO DIFFERENCE?!?!?!?!?! WALAU!!! I mean, you could probably see faint hints of red under very strong light and at specific angles, but I don't want subtle, I want OBVIOUS RED. Grrrr!!!

Grad night was on Monday, exciting things happened on that day (: I think Vivian has never been as amused or irritated at me hahahahaha. BUT I still insist on my side of the story, that is was a bonding exercise when we walked to Citylink 3 times :D Calvin shut up and stop telling people your warped version of the story k! Grad night performance was fricking awesome! Angel was unduly worried throughout all the rehearsals and all the "I don't know what to do with you all already" did little to calm our nerves, but we pulled it off like WOOHOO!!! It was probably due to the fact that me, Vivian and Angeline were camwhoring like siao while waiting to perform haha and we were so bloody high!! Took many many photos but I'm waaaay too lazy to upload them. Oh and we got our dance on video in Vivian's camera so when it's up then I'll post it yaaaayyyy.

During Superkids, Aunty Ann was telling a story about these two sisters who would always play in the closet and one day some box fell on the sister's head then she fell sick. The other girl then hid in the closet and prayed for her sister to get better, and she did! So Aunty Ann asked, "What's the moral of the story?' Raphael answered "Don't play in cupboard."

He's so bloody cute la how can you not love him!! Hahaha. That was the last lesson of Superkids for the year. I wanna go on to teach Primary 1 kids so I don't have to leave my 6 year olds, especially Mitchell who I haven't seen since I dunno when ): ): OH and I have neglected to mention that one day I was vacuuming my keyboard trying to suck up all the ants that I'm convinced are living in my computer, and my V key got sucked up. Then I couldn't find it in the vacuum cleaner dust bag thingy either so now I'm V key less and it's very annoying. I think I'm gonna dig out the F11 key to replace it. Going out with SarahBarah tomorrow and she insists that meeting at 1 is too early. Tsk Sarah! But I'll probably be late so yeaaaah. :D Wild Child, movie marathon/sleepover, then Chunk fest WOOHOO!!! Her dad said "Don't throw a party" to her when she mentioned I was staying over. It could have been that the neighbours kindaaa called the police during the last sleepover we had... :D HAHAHAHA. And anyway, how much noise could 2 girls make?! We're only planning for some 430am Macs breakfast (:
